National Eligibility Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Syllabus

The exam conducting authority, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released NEET Syllabus for candidates to prepare for the entrance test. NEET syllabus is prepared after observing syllabus of various state boards as well as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council Board of School Education (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). NEET syllabus is made after the recommendations from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is strictly based on topics, chapters and subjects taught during 10+2/HSC level.

NEET is conducted in a pen and paper based format. As per the exam pattern of NEET, the question booklet consists of 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in 3 hours from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.There are a total of 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry, while Botany and Zoology section is comprised of 90 questions.  Each correct answer fetches candidates 4 marks, whereas -1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
